🔴 International Legal Team Submits Memoranda on Israeli Crimes Against Palestinian Political Prisoners to ICC

Ramallah, occupied Palestine - The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) praised the important step taken today, July 9, by an international legal team, in submitting a legal memoranda regarding the crimes committed by the occupying “state of Israel” against Palestinian political prisoners, to the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC). 

The PPS explained that this effort came in coordination with local Palestinian and international human rights organizations, through the gathering of numerous testimonies of current and ex-detainees, and documents over the past several months. This move has received broad support from several European institutions, which were represented as part of the legal team, alongside official Palestinian backing from all institutions working on the issue of prisoners' affairs and human rights.

The PPS stressed the importance of this step as part of the legal struggle through which advocates for Palestinian rights seek to hold the occupation’s leaders accountable and achieve the human justice that freedom-loving people around the world have long fought for.

The need to support such efforts cannot be overstated, not only at the Palestinian level, but for the global human community—especially in light of the ongoing genocide against our people in Gaza and the all-out aggression on occupied Palestine, unfolding before the eyes and ears of a world that remains uninterested in halting these decades-long crimes that have only become more frequent and horrific in nature.
