The Israeli occupation authorities arrested (1236) citizens from the West Bank
Number of arrests increase after October 7, to stand at (6870)

The Israeli occupation forces arrested (1236) citizens from the West Bank on January 2024, including (30) women and (73) children.
Detainees’ institutions stated that the highest percentage of detention cases occurred in Jerusalem, with (309) cases, followed by Hebron by with (220) cases and then Tulkarem with (150) cases.
Detainees’ institutions emphasized that the number of detention cases implemented after October 7 as of the date of preparation of the present report stands at (6870), including more than (215) women, more than (400) children and (52) journalists.
Moreover, they arrested both children child Yousef Khatib and Ahmad Khashan, who have been liberated by the last exchange deal.
In addition, 7 detainees martyred after October 7, including a detainee whose identity hasn’t been revealed yet, besides to Gazan detainees who martyred and executed inside the military camps of the occupation.
The total number of detainees in Israeli jails stands at (9000), without involving detainees from Gaza and the (70) Gazan women who are currently held in Damoun prison.
Moreover, there are nearly (200) children in Israeli prisons in addition to (3484) administrative detainees, including (11) women, (40) children and (21) journalists.
(606) detainees have been designated as illegal fighters by the IPS, but detainees’ institutions confirmed that the number is much higher.
