Daily summary of occupation’s arrests in West Bank, 13/5/2025
Ramallah, Palestine - At least 25 Palestinians were abducted by Israeli occupation forces from across the West Bank between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, including a woman and former prisoners.
Occupation forces are also only increasing their arrests in the northern West Bank governate of Jenin and Tulkarem. At least 450 cases of arrest were recorded in Jenin and its refugee camp since the start of its assault on January 21. Meanwhile, in Tulkarem at least 215 arrests were recorded. These figures include those who remain in custody and those who were later released. It does not include the many who were subject to hours-long field interrogations and temporary detaining of residents. In its ongoing assault on these areas, Israeli soldiers systematically abuse detainees and their families, turn homes into military outposts and severely vandalized homes, as well as carrying out extra-judicial executions.
The pace of arrests has also recently escalated in the Hebron governate, primarily targeting former prisoners who were arrested and released after October 7, 2023, before being detained again.
The rate of arrests and field interrogations being carried out across the West Bank have escalated to unprecedented levels since the start of the genocide in Gaza.
