رام الله – أدانت مؤسسات الأسرى القرار الصادر عن وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية والقاضي بفرض عقوبات على ثلاث مؤسسات حقوقية فلسطينية هي: مؤسسة الحق، ومركز الميزان، والمركز الفلسطيني لحقوق الإنسان، وذلك عقاباً لها على دورها في فضح انتهاكات الاحتلال وجرائمه المتواصلة في ظل حرب الإبادة المستمرة.

وأكدت المؤسسات في بيان صدر اليوم الجمعة أنّ هذا القرار، الذي يأتي بعد ثلاثة أشهر فقط من قرار مماثل بتصنيف مؤسسة الضمير لرعاية الأسير وحقوق الإنسان على قوائم "الإرهاب"، وفرض عقوبات على المقررة الخاصة للأمم المتحدة فرانشيسكا ألبانيز، يُشكّل عدواناً أمريكياً مباشراً على مؤسسات المجتمع المدني الفلسطيني والمنظومة الحقوقية برمتها، ويعكس تواطؤاً واضحاً في جريمة الإبادة الجماعية.

وشدّدت المؤسسات على أنّ استهداف مؤسسات فلسطينية راسخة عملت لعقود في فضح انتهاكات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي إنما يهدف إلى تصفية المجتمع المدني والحقوقي الفلسطيني في مرحلة تُعدّ من أكثر المراحل دموية بحق شعبنا.

وفي هذا السياق، دعت المؤسسات الحقوقية الدولية والأمم المتحدة إلى إدانة القرار الأمريكي الذي يسعى لضرب المنظومة الحقوقية الفلسطينية، في ظل استمرار الإبادة الجماعية وتواطؤ المجتمع الدولي، والتجاهل الممنهج لأصوات الأحرار الداعمة للحق الفلسطيني. كما طالبت بمضاعفة الدعم للمؤسسات الحقوقية الفلسطينية باعتبار ذلك جزءاً من دعم حق الشعب الفلسطيني في تقرير مصيره، وحماية وجوده.

⭕ Palestinian Prisoners’ Institutions Condemn US Sanctions on Palestinian Human Rights Groups

Ramallah, occupied Palestine – Palestinian prisoners’ institutions condemn the decision issued by the US Department of the Treasury to impose sanctions on three Palestinian human rights organizations: Al-Haq, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights. This action is intended to punish them over their key roles in exposing the occupation's ongoing war crimes including in the genocide in occupied Gaza. 

In a statement issued Friday, prisoners’ groups stressed that this decision comes only three months after a similar decision to designate the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association as a "terrorist organization" and to impose sanctions on UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese. It constitutes a direct US attack on Palestinian civil society institutions and the entire human rights system, and reflects clear complicity in the crime of genocide.

The organizations emphasized that targeting established Palestinian institutions which have worked for decades to expose the violations of the Israeli occupation aims to liquidate Palestinian civil society and human rights at a time that is considered the bloodiest and most horrific against our people.

In this context, international human rights organizations and the UN called for condemnation of the US decision, which seeks to undermine the Palestinian human rights system, amid the ongoing genocide, the complicity of the international community, and the systematic disregard for the voices of freedom supporting Palestinian rights. They also called for increased support for Palestinian human rights organizations as part of supporting the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the protection of their existence.
