🔴 Issued by the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs & the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society

In light of the ongoing state of emergency declared by the Israeli occupation, which, until now, has been extended until March 12, the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society clarify the latest legal developments and violations related to the cases of Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons, as follows:

🔴 Postponement of Hearings
All confirmation and appeal hearings scheduled for this week have been postponed indefinitely, without any alternative dates being set.

🔴 Administrative Detention Orders
Its is expected that any Palestinian political prisoner who was supposed to be released in the past two days and has not been released, has had their administrative detention order (no trial or charge) automatically renewed. This is because occupation authorities have not issued any updates regarding this matter.

🔴 Military Courts
Military court hearings currently being held are limited to detention extension hearings only, without considering any other legal cases.

🔴 Prison Visits
All prison visits for lawyers this week have been canceled, with the possibility of continued cancellations next week.

🔴 Petitions to the Occupation’s Supreme Court
Petitions submitted prior to the declaration of the state of emergency are still pending, and we await decisions on them. New petitions will only be accepted in cases deemed “extremely urgent” by the court.
