🔴 Occupation Forces Arrest At Least 80 Palestinians Overnight in Occupied West Bank and Jerusalem

April 20, 2026

Ramallah, occupied Palestine - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide campaign of arrests and field interrogations between Sunday night and Monday morning, targeting no fewer than 80 Palestinians across the West Bank, including Jerusalem, Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said Monday. Among them were children and former prisoners.

The arrests and field interrogations were concentrated in the town of Beit Ummar in the Hebron governorate, where more than 60 Palestinians were targeted.

The PPS noted that the occupation continues to escalate arrest and interrogation campaigns at an increasing pace since the beginning of 2026, with approximately 2,000 arrest cases recorded in the West Bank so far. This comes within the framework of a policy of collective punishment and vengeance targeting various segments of Palestinian society.

It further explained that one of the most prominent practices during raids is what is known as “field interrogation,” which has become a consistent policy implemented across different governorates. Families are forced to leave their homes, acts of intimidation are carried out, and property is vandalized and destroyed before arrests or detentions are conducted.

The Prisoners’ Society affirmed that these violations are an extension of a systematic approach followed by the occupation for decades, aimed at targeting Palestinian existence through tools of repression and control. It added that since the start of the genocide, there has been a noticeable increase in the level and intensity of crimes committed against detainees and prisoners.
