Ramallah, occupied Palestine- Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 25 Palestinians in overnight military raids across the West Bank and Jerusalem, between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said in a statement. 

Those abducted include five Palestinian women from the governorates of Tubas, Tulkarem, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Jerusalem. 

Separately, occupation forces arrested 15 others - all Palestinian labor workers from the Gaza Strip - who were abducted from the Qalqilya governorate.

Israeli occupation authorities have continued to intensify arrest campaigns and on-the-ground interrogations at an accelerated pace since the start of the genocide, alongside increasing attacks on Palestinians in several areas by Israeli settlers. These measures are part of a systematic policy targeting all sectors of Palestinian society and constitute forms of collective punishment and retaliation.

In the same context, the PPS said that Palestinian women are facing a marked escalation in ongoing arrest campaigns, including being held as hostages, nighttime home raids, and being subjected to harsh interrogation methods. It also pointed to a growing number of arrests based on allegations of "incitement" through social media, a dangerous escalation in which the detention of women is being used as a tool of pressure and collective punishment.

Occupation authorities continue to carry out daily arrest raids throughout the West Bank as part of a consistent and systematic policy, with the total number of arrests since the start of the genocide exceeding 24,000.

This escalation comes amid the continued expansion of arrest campaigns and field interrogations targeting various segments of Palestinian society, including women, children, and formerly imprisoned Palestinians.
